How You’ll Succeed

  • Operational Effectiveness – You will lead and executive control related activities to mitigate credit and operational risk within the RESL business.
  • Issue Resolution – Lead the timely resolution of complex issues, including client, closure of facilities or title related matters. Conduct root cause analysis of issues as they arise and recommend new/amended controls to prevent recurrence. Design and implement action plans to address issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Client Focus – Identify and implement creative solutions to ensure that changes to ensure regulatory compliance and resolve issues strike the right balance between governance/controls, client experience and profitability.
  • Relationship Management – Collaborate with a diverse group of partners within CIBC (e.g. Project Delivery, Risk Management, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Business Controls) and outside of CIBC (e.g. external Legal parties) to implement initiatives and resolve issues in an efficient manner with high quality results

Who You Are

  • You have deep knowledge and experience with CIBC internal systems, procedures, and processes and at least 2-3 years experience leading operational processes that mitigate operational and credit risk
  • You are a problem solver. You have the ability recommend and develop solutions that streamline existing procedures and processes and effectively engage the support of key stakeholder teams within the Bank to achieve business line priorities
  • Your influence makes an impact. You have exceptional interpersonal skills and a flexible style to lead, motivate, and influence all levels of decision makers, clients and team members. Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.
  • Ability to adapt to conflicting priorities, roadblocks, and change, demonstrating strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • You have completed a Post-Secondary degree, with 2-3 years of operational experience in a large, corporate environment
  • You can demonstrate the ability to adapt to conflicting priorities, roadblocks, and change, demonstrating strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. You have excellent Excel, Visio, PowerPoint skills.
