Based in San Francisco, Mercor collaborates with elite organizations worldwide and is backed by top investors, including Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D’Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage design expertise in enhancing user experience for next-generation AI and technology-driven products. The ideal candidate will combine strong design aesthetics with analytical problem-solving, translating abstract ideas into elegant, intuitive user interfaces.
Evaluate product design decisions and user experience flows using professional insights to improve usability, aesthetics, and overall design quality.
Design product mockups and interactive prototypes using modern tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Deliver structured feedback on user experience, visual design, and user journey optimization to enhance product engagement and clarity.
Collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones, ensuring alignment between design and product objectives.
Work independently and creatively, establishing high design standards and contributing to an innovative and user-centered culture.
Translate conceptual ideas and research insights into clear, visually appealing, and accessible design solutions.
3+ years of product design experience, ideally at a prestigious tech company or high-growth startup.
Strong proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe design tools for prototyping and visual design.
Proven experience delivering User Experience (UX) and User Journey feedback, with a track record of improving product usability and appeal.
Strong understanding of interaction design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design best practices.
Exceptional attention to detail, visual storytelling, and design systems thinking.
Must be based in the US, UK, or Canada.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions clearly.
Preferred:
Experience working with AI-related or data-driven products.
Familiarity with asynchronous design workflows and remote collaboration tools.
Type: Independent Contractor
Compensation: $70–$125 per hour (based on experience and portfolio strength)
Duration: 3–4 weeks (with possible extensions)
Commitment: Minimum 15 hours per week
Location: Fully Remote (US, UK, or Canada)
Payment: Weekly via Stripe Connect
