Product Change Leader

Description:

Airbus Canada is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Change Project Leader (PCL) to join the A220 Commercial Aircraft Program in Mirabel, Quebec. This exciting opportunity involves leading product change projects across all stages—from initial concept to production and entry into service—while ensuring alignment with program goals in terms of schedule, cost, quality, scope, and resources.

As a Product Change Leader, you will play a vital role in driving cross-functional collaboration, ensuring effective configuration management, and leading multi-disciplinary teams through complex changes in aircraft design and production. This role is critical to maintaining Airbus’s industry-leading standards and fostering innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product change projects from concept through to industrialization and in-service implementation.

• Oversee aircraft configuration using an Integrated Work Team (MFT) approach.

• Achieve project milestones as per Airbus program requirements related to timelines, budget (NRC & RC), quality, staffing, and scope.

• Inspire and manage diverse teams including engineering, quality, procurement, suppliers, and work package managers.

• Manage end-to-end project timelines and ensure effective execution of change requests.

• Support resolution of contract updates and commercial issues through coordination with procurement.

• Represent the Program Management Office in internal strategic and decision-making forums.

• Anticipate and manage crises or disruptions with necessary corrective measures.

• Implement robust risk and opportunity management frameworks.

• Present project changes in internal governance and decision-making forums.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, or equivalent (15 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu; PMP certification is an asset).

• At least 10 years of experience in product development or change management.

• Strong leadership and influence across multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience with Google Suite and Planisware (asset).

• Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

• High level of autonomy, perseverance, and openness to learning.

• Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
