CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a dynamic and experienced journalist to serve as Producer/Host for Le Téléjournal Saskatchewan, the ICI Radio-Canada TV newscast. The role requires exceptional journalism and leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will go live and work off-script when needed, oversee program content, and ensure high production value across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Host and produce Le Téléjournal Saskatchewan, ensuring quality and audience engagement
✔ Generate daily program ideas and develop content using various presentation formats
✔ Vet scripts and write program continuity while ensuring high editorial standards
✔ Lead field production, recording, and use of technical equipment (iNEWS, Dalet, Media Central)
✔ Engage audiences with new and emerging technologies to expand reach
✔ Collaborate with senior producers and management for content strategy
✔ Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the journalistic team
✔ Conduct live coverage and interviews with strong on-air presentation skills
✔ Maintain in-depth knowledge of political, social, and economic issues in Saskatchewan

Qualifications & Requirements:

📌 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
📌 Minimum 5 years of experience (including 3 years in broadcasting or related industry)
📌 Solid journalistic and vetting skills with a strong editorial background
📌 Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
📌 Strong production skills, including field production
📌 Technical proficiency in field recording, iNEWS, Dalet, and Media Central
📌 Strong on-air presence with live broadcasting experience
📌 Excellent interviewing skills
📌 Deep understanding of Saskatchewan’s current affairs
📌 Bilingual (English/French) required
📌 Ability to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts

Work Schedule & Conditions:

✅ Full-time, temporary (long-term fixed term)
✅ Compressed 4-day workweek
✅ Based in Regina, Saskatchewan
