Procurement Specialist

 

Description:

Our Government client is seeking a Procurement support. The specialist is required to provide supply support and manage a logistics access database for a family of vehicles. This role involves supporting and maintaining a database that delivers accurate contracting and financial data. The database is used daily to assist in managing standing offers, subsequent call-ups, repair and overhaul contracts, and technical investigation and engineering services contracts. The role includes assisting with the management of contract deliverables to ensure accountability of materiel and adherence to fiscal responsibilities.

Duties include but are not limited to:
 

  • Provide materiel management support and ensuring correct management data is captured and input into Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
  • Conduct analysis of supply matters in support of maintenance, repair and overhaul activities
  • Provide reports required to perform stocktaking (as needed)
  • Perform supply related activities in support of retrofits, configuration audits and validations, waivers and deviations
  • Provide expert guidance and direction on supply related activities including packaging, marking and labeling issues in accordance
  • Conduct analysis of materiel consumption, trends, demand volume and satisfaction rates
     

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:
 

  • 4+ years of experience in defence procurement
  • 4+ years planning and executing materiel distribution using Repairable Materiel Accounts (RMA) through Inbound Logistics
  • 4+ years using Microsoft Access 2010 and 2013 to perform database activities such as queries, forms, and report generation
  • ability to support Repair & Overhaul (R&O) contracts, including coordination of logistics and contract deliverables
  • Proficient in analyzing data and generating reports from an SAP-based materiel management system and SAP Business Intelligence (BI) Portal
  • English essential (orally and written)
  • Hold a valid secret clearance
     

About the Job

2-year contract plus 3 additional years.
