Procurement And Inbound Logistics Manager

 

Description:

Dovre Canada Limited is seeking a Procurement and Inbound Logistics Manager to lead the development and implementation of an integrated inbound supply chain strategy for its client operations based in St. John’s, NL. This leadership role is critical in driving operational excellence through process efficiencies, cost reduction, and transformational change in materials management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead supply chain transformation initiatives applying continuous improvement and change management to optimize materials management and eliminate shadow inventory.

  • Oversee procurement and inbound logistics operations to deliver cost-effective, safe, and timely project execution.

  • Develop and implement benchmark processes to enhance supply chain performance and reduce risks.

  • Ensure compliance with Indigenous and other agreements (including IBAs), maintaining competitive commercial terms in complex operational environments.

  • Optimize procurement with a total cost of ownership perspective, incorporating logistics, community relations, environmental, safety, risk management, and long-term availability.

  • Provide strategic leadership and inspire high-performing teams through effective communication and management routines.

  • Travel to operational sites as required.

  • Work a Monday to Friday schedule in a permanent role.


Candidate Profile:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or relevant field.

  • Internationally recognized procurement or supply chain certification considered an asset.

  • At least 11 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and warehousing, preferably within the mining industry.

  • Experience in remote site logistics and warehousing is strongly preferred.

  • Strong strategic thinking skills and proven leadership in driving transformational change.

  • Skilled in continuous improvement methodologies and supply chain operations within complex environments.

  • Excellent communication and management skills.
