Description:

Capital One Canada is hiring a Principal Data Scientist – Modeling and Analysis to lead cutting-edge projects in machine learning, data modeling, and financial analytics. This role involves working with massive datasets, developing ML models, and using AI-driven insights to optimize banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning models (Gradient Boosting Machines, Neural Networks, etc.)

• Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets (structured & unstructured)

• Work with SQL databases, GitHub, and cloud environments (AWS, EC2, S3)

• Create data visualizations and experiments to drive business strategies

• Collaborate with engineering teams on AI/ML model deployment

• Investigate the impact of new technologies on digital banking

• Lead projects and mentor junior data scientists
