Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP) is seeking a highly experienced professional to join its Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG) arm as a Director within the Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG), focused on Value Creation initiatives and liquidity strategies. In this leadership role, the Director will take on a portfolio-wide perspective, ensuring optimal outcomes in terms of returns, liquidity, and risk utilization, with a particular emphasis on exit and capital access strategies. The individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing investment insights, leveraging data-driven analytics, and providing strategic guidance on investment decisions, portfolio construction, and liquidity events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elevate investment insights across TVG portfolios and sectors, ensuring better decision-making on sector, stage, and geography trade-offs.

• Deliver advanced data mining and analytics from TVG funds and OTPP resources to detect emerging trends and guide future investments.

• Integrate portfolio construction considerations into the diligence and Investment Committee (IC) process.

• Enhance TVG investment capabilities through data-driven insights across sectors, geographies, and lifecycle stages.

• Streamline reporting and forecasting processes for greater automation and seamless integration.

• Develop and implement liquidity and exit strategies, including acquisitions, sales to private equity buyers, and strategic positioning.

• Build and maintain strong networks with secondary investors, co-investors, funds, and advisors to secure capital access and exit opportunities.

• Lead execution of exit strategies and advise portfolio companies on capital raising and investor introductions.

• Provide value-added insights across TVG and OTPP portfolios, contributing to strategic analysis and documents.

• Oversee portfolio monitoring with a focus on liquidity, risk, and investment strategy.

• Collaborate closely with senior leadership, investment teams, and portfolio companies to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years in technology-focused investing, portfolio management, or research.

• Proven ability to develop and execute long-term investment strategies.

• Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, market analysis, and risk assessment.

• Demonstrated success in executing transactions and M&A.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.

• Leadership experience with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to detect and act on emerging trends.
