Description:
Plant Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of employees and administering policies and procedures that will contribute to the site's operations running efficiently.
Summary Of Responsibilities
- Supervises thermal power processing equipment.
- Examines materials and products at various stages of processing for conformance to specifications.
- Observes machines and equipment for malfunction and orders adjustments or repairs, or directs workers to make adjustments or repairs.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Sets up machines and equipment.
- Operates a 24 hour/ 7 days a week operation and maintains continuous work production.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Two years of supervisor experience
- Proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent customer oral and written communication skills
- Problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making
- Collaborative; builds and works with teams
- Ability to coach and mentor
