The Region of Peel is inviting applications for Personal Support Workers (PSWs) across its five long-term care homes. These future opportunities are for emotionally intelligent, compassionate individuals who are passionate about delivering dignified, person-centered care. PSWs will be at the heart of a care team that embraces the Butterfly Model of Care, focusing on emotional connection and daily meaningful interaction with residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily personal care and emotional support to residents in a respectful, professional, and compassionate manner.

• Foster emotional connections that enhance residents’ well-being and sense of dignity.

• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and recreational engagement.

• Collaborate effectively with fellow caregivers and clinical staff to ensure quality resident care.

• Maintain documentation and uphold policies in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines and Peel Region standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a Ministry-approved program (mandatory)

• Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken

• A genuine passion for caring for others and delivering person-focused support

• Physical capability to perform job duties including lifting and mobility assistance

• Strong sense of professionalism, teamwork, and empathy
