Personal Care Specialist

Description:

Cencora, a global healthcare solutions leader, is seeking a Bilingual Personal Care Specialist (Spécialiste en Soins Personnels) to join its Montreal-based team. This role focuses on supporting patients throughout their treatment journey by providing education, coordination, and reimbursement assistance to ensure access to essential therapies. The position requires bilingual fluency (English and French) and a passion for delivering outstanding patient-centered service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing guidance and assistance on program services and treatment support.

• Communicate with patients to gather relevant information and educate them on available program options, including injection training and pharmacy choices.

• Act as a reimbursement expert for assigned caseloads, ensuring optimal insurance coverage and access to prescribed therapies.

• Collaborate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals to facilitate coverage and manage prescription renewals.

• Coordinate patient services to ensure seamless onboarding, continuous access to medication, and efficient care management.

• Maintain accurate records and report adverse events in compliance with internal and regulatory procedures.

• Support other team members to ensure effective patient integration and a consistent care experience.

• Perform ad hoc administrative or coordination duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Post-secondary diploma or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

• Bilingual fluency in English and French (mandatory for Quebec positions).

• Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, public and private reimbursement programs, and CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).

• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, business, or related discipline.

• Experience in pharmaceutical industry, patient support programs, or case management.

• Understanding of project management principles and healthcare reimbursement systems.
