Performance Engineer

As a Performance Engineer, you’ll play a critical technical role in ensuring Veeva's enterprise-grade software delivers optimal performance. You will engage deeply in benchmarking, performance testing, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to guarantee world-class system scalability and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement performance benchmarks for Veeva products.

• Utilize profiling and performance tools like Yourkit and JMeter to identify and resolve bottlenecks.

• Partner with engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize performance issues.

• Monitor and investigate performance in production environments.

• Develop and maintain tools for performance monitoring automation.

Core Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in performance engineering and benchmarking.

• Strong skills in Java, MySQL, Python, and Shell scripting.

• Hands-on experience with performance tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

• Ability to detect and resolve performance issues using profiling tools.

• Proficiency in distributed computing systems and architecture.

• Comfortable with Linux, Docker, AWS, and GIT.

• Demonstrated mentorship experience and team leadership skills.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of modern database systems like Redshift.

• Familiarity with search technologies such as SOLR.

Compensation:

• Base Salary Range: USD 95000 to 160000 annually (approx. USD 7916 to 13333 monthly)

• Compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

• Additional compensation opportunities include bonuses and/or stock options.
