The TTC Pension Plan (TTCPP) is seeking a Pension Benefits Analyst for a 20-month contract to support its Member Services department in delivering personalized, high-quality service to pension plan members and retirees. Based in Toronto, with a hybrid work model, this role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in pension administration, client service, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Respond to member and pensioner inquiries by phone, email, or written correspondence.
Process updates to pensioner payroll records and handle various member-related requests.
Meet with members or family members to explain pension benefits and assist with documentation, particularly in cases of termination or death.
Prepare correspondence for survivors or beneficiaries, process death claims, and finalize estate files.
Provide pension termination estimates and support calculations for Family Law Valuations.
Update and maintain internal records using systems such as Laserfiche, SharePoint, and SAP/SuccessFactors.
Coordinate with the TTC Employee Benefits team on pre- and post-retirement death benefits and insurance payouts.
Assist in payroll adjustments and process lump-sum and wire transfer payments.
Perform data entry, scanning, and administrative tasks related to documentation and pension files.
Compile reports and updates for senior leadership and Board reporting.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs and training documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or post-secondary education; pension-related certifications (PPAC, CPBI) preferred or in progress.
At least 3 years of experience in pension or benefits administration with strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of Canadian pension legislation (Ontario Pension Benefits Act, Family Law Act, CRA rules).
Proficiency in pension calculations, accounting basics, and mathematical reasoning.
Familiarity with systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
