Payroll Assistant

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Process timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salary and commission employees for multi companies, approximately 500 employees
  • Process month-end commission and bonuses for commissioned Employees and Department/Store Managers
  • Maintain and track bi-monthly draws for all sales staff
  • Maintain and track all vacation payouts and time allotments
  • Process employee Time & Attendance data from the PBS timeclock and reconcile variances
  • Maintain daily hours for all hourly staff, ensuring daily punch ins and out are correct in a timely manner
  • Calculate and reconcile all flat rate hours for technicians
  • Provide administrative support to employees regarding their payroll, vacation, etc.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager in administrating payroll requirements
  • Perform all year end related tasks and reconciliations (T4’s)
  • Maintain spreadsheets and required tracking for all absences and vacations

What You Bring to the Table:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business or Communications is considered an asset
  • PCP Designation consider an asset
  • Minimum 2 years experience in payroll administration position
  • Knowledge and understanding of a draw system
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Video Conferencing Platforms
  • Experience in the Automotive industry is considered an asset
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and changing needs
  • Extremely strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to “wear multiple hats”
  • Self-initiative and proactive
