Key responsibilities include:

  • Process and administer payroll accurately and on time for all YVR employees, including salaried, hourly, and unionized employees, ensuring compliance with regulations and tax laws
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including time and attendance, vacation, sick leave, and other types of leave, while ensuring confidentiality and adhering to data privacy regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and leave, and resolving issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health and dental plans, pension plans, and other perquisites, and process employee changes accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and interpret payroll-related reports for regulatory bodies, management, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with payroll and benefits regulations and guidelines

Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role in a unionized environment with a proven track record of success
  • Completion of CPA Management Program and accounting courses, or a combination of equivalent training and experience
  • Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce, UKG (Kronos), and SuccessFactors, or payroll and HRM systems experience is highly desirable
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate and analyze complex data sets with ease
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
