Description:
LMI Technologies is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their global Finance team. This role involves processing bi-weekly and monthly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees across Canadian and USA entities. The Payroll Administrator will also play a key role in the financial period-end closing process by assisting in reconciliations and other payroll-related tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and have strong knowledge of payroll-related legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for hourly and salary employees.
Ensure accurate setup of benefit deductions and taxable benefits.
Perform month-end functions, including journal entries and payroll account reconciliations.
Handle monthly reconciliations of taxable benefits and LTD.
Manage WCB and WSIB calculations and filings.
Prepare and file annual EHT reporting.
Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
Perform year-end taxable benefit calculations.
Prepare and file T4s and W2s.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with managers and employees.
Qualifications:
Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of payroll experience for a company with 300+ employees.
Experience with payroll for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees.
Strong knowledge of payroll-related legislation (Employment Standards, Workers' Compensation in the US and Canada).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with PayWorks, G-Suite, and NetSuite is considered an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High degree of assertiveness and proactiveness.
