Description:

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental company, is seeking a high-energy and motivated Outside Sales Representative to join its growing team in Dryden, Ontario (or optionally, Kenora). In this role, you will serve as the frontline liaison between United Rentals and its customers—building relationships, understanding unique business needs, and offering tailored equipment rental and service solutions. Your success will be measured by your ability to generate revenue through proactive outreach and strategic account management in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize rental revenue by engaging facilities and construction clients in a defined geographic territory

  • Develop and nurture strong, lasting relationships with existing clients and their subsidiaries

  • Prospect for new business, including dormant or competitor accounts, and turn them into long-term customers

  • Collaborate with internal specialty division teams to cross-sell complementary services

  • Prepare and execute effective sales plans and client presentations

  • Accurately maintain customer data and opportunities using Salesforce.com and CRM tools

  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging customer needs

  • Perform additional tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in sales, preferably B2B or consultative roles

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Effective planning, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities

  • Familiarity with construction or heavy equipment rental industry is a plus

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must meet United Rentals’ Safety Sensitive role requirements
