Description:
The Co-Op Student (Non-PT) role in the Outpatient Physical Therapy department at Boston Medical Center allows Northeastern University students to integrate academic learning with hands-on training in a professional healthcare environment. Students will participate in paid work terms, gain exposure to outpatient physical therapy operations, and perform duties under the supervision of experienced professionals while adhering to hospital policies and safety guidelines.
Integrate classroom learning with real-world work experiences
Participate in supervised work-site training in outpatient physical therapy
Apply skills and knowledge in a professional, patient-centered environment
Follow hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Maintain professionalism and a positive learning attitude throughout the placement
Current enrollment in the Northeastern University Co-operative Education Program
Standing as a sophomore, junior, or senior
Ability to meet hospital professional standards and safety expectations
Strong motivation to learn in a healthcare environment
Professionalism, reliability, and positive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow directions and adapt in a clinical setting
Must adhere to Boston Medical Center safety, conduct, and operational policies
