Optometry Front Desk/pre-tester

 

Description:

As our Optometry Front Desk/Pre Tester, you will fill a combined patient service and technical assistant role. Front desk responsibilities include answering a high volume of calls, booking appointments, greeting in-office patients and maintenance of patient electronic records, third party billing and financial records. Pre-Testing duties include performing diagnostic testing and pre-exam testing, maintaining patient flow through the clinic and updating patient electronic records.

Cross-training in all practice departments including the optical will be provided.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience in an optometry clinic or in other customer service field. Having strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills with superior attention to detail is an asset. You must be willing to work on-site for 8-hour shifts between 8 am and 8 pm, Monday to Friday. Most shifts will be in our Kingston location but some shifts in our New Minas location may be required. This is a part time position of 16-30 hours per week.
