Description:
Credo is seeking an Optical System Test Specialist to join our Core Technology Development team in Ottawa. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in advancing optical communication products for AI infrastructures. You will collaborate closely with the R&D team, component owners and link architectures, driving innovation through system-level and component-level testing. You will work on all aspects of front-end ASIC design, including project definition, micro-architecture specification, and design and verification of complex logic blocks. Additionally, you will partner with PD, DFT, STA, and PV teams to ensure successful tape-outs and work closely with system teams for chip bring-up.

Responsibilities
- Test and verify optical systems including active and passive optical components and analyze the optical link.
- Conduct comprehensive component-level and system-level testing to validate the designs and functionality.
- Automate the experimental process and collect test data seamlessly.
- Analyze test data to provide actionable insight to component owners.
- Lead the initiative to implement standard test methodologies across the whole test team.
Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in optical testing and measurement instruments with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of optical communication systems.
- Experience in testing and validating fiber optic communication components
- Proficiency in Python for automation and testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical thinking mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of database management (SQL, or time series database).
