Operations Manager

Description:

Alta Equipment Group, the largest equipment dealer in North America, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead its Woodbridge, Ontario branch. This position involves overseeing all aspects of daily branch operations, including parts and service departments, with a focus on driving growth, operational efficiency, and superior customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee branch operations, including parts and service departments.

• Drive business growth to achieve forecasted goals while fostering customer loyalty.

• Maintain P&L accountability for parts and service.

• Develop and manage branch budgets, inventory control, and building conditions.

• Supervise service operations, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

• Foster a positive workplace culture and strong customer relationships.

• Oversee work orders, invoicing, customer quotes, and payroll auditing.

• Monitor employee training progress and ensure proper staffing.

• Incorporate safety standards and company guiding principles into all operations.

• Perform purchase order coordination and monitor work in progress.

• Regular, consistent, and reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 4–6 years of management experience (equipment dealership experience preferred, but candidates with strong operations management in fast-paced service industries will be considered).

• Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Business Intelligence tools.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical documents.

• Intermediate mathematical skills and strong reasoning abilities.
