Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator

 

Description:

The Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator at RI-MUHC will be responsible for supporting clinical research studies in oncology, collaborating with investigators and healthcare personnel. This role involves recruiting participants, assessing patients for protocol eligibility, coordinating protocol-related tests, and ensuring accurate data collection and documentation. The coordinator will also manage lab kits, monitor progress, and act as a liaison with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit participants, prescreen patients, and obtain informed consent

  • Assess patient eligibility for studies through interviews and medical record reviews

  • Maintain and update adverse event logs, questionnaires, and protocol-specific documentation

  • Coordinate tests, including venipuncture, sample collection, pharmacokinetics, and ECG

  • Ensure the timely processing and shipping of samples per protocol guidelines

  • Develop study-specific documentation (e.g., AE logs, study imaging forms)

  • Coordinate data collection, documentation, and lab kit inventories

  • Schedule site initiation and monitoring visits, follow up on identified issues

  • Liaise with oncology and radiation teams

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • DEC in sciences or a related field

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical research experience

  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting (oncology or hematology preferred)

  • Bilingual (French and English) spoken and written

  • Critical thinking and strong communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously, multitask, and prioritize effectively

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP and clinical research regulations is an asset

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Located at the Glen Site
