Occupational Therapist

Description:

The Occupational Therapist delivers services in line with COTBC standards, collaborating with the interprofessional care team to provide assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and interventions that help patients achieve and maintain optimal health. The role also includes patient education, consultation, and participation in research, special projects, and quality improvement initiatives to advance practice and care delivery.

About You

Education
 

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
   

Occupational Certification
 

• Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
• Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists is an asset
• Valid British Columbia Driver’s License
   

Experience
 

• Minimum two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist in various field and programs
• Experience in community interventions and coordination or service plans is an asset
• Experience working with individuals, families and community organizations
• Experience working with First Nations communities preferred
