Description:

The Occupational Therapist is an integral member of the interprofessional team at the Dadzi Wellness Centre, supporting the wellness of Dakelh individuals and families through culturally grounded, client-centered care. In alignment with FNHA’s Wellness Philosophy and COTBC standards, the Occupational Therapist provides assessment, occupational therapy diagnosis, treatment planning, and interventions that enhance daily functioning, independence, and participation in meaningful activities

About You

Education
 

  • Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
     

Occupational Certification
 

  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists is an asset
  • Valid British Columbia Driver’s License
     

Experience
 

  • Minimum two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist in various field and programs
  • Experience in community interventions and coordination or service plans is an asset
  • Experience working with individuals, families and community organizations
  • Experience working with First Nations communities preferred
