Description:

CISSS de Chaudière-Appalaches, certified Entreprise en santé – Élite +, is seeking a Conseiller cadre en soins infirmiers spécialisés to provide leadership, oversight, and guidance within the Direction des soins infirmiers. This role promotes the health, safety, and well-being of employees while ensuring high-quality nursing care for the population served.

Reporting to the Directrice adjointe des soins infirmiers, the incumbent applies management and nursing expertise to monitor care quality, guide professional development, and implement best practices. The role also includes leadership in research, project evaluation, and rapid intervention in cases of abuse, neglect, or unacceptable conduct.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor nursing care quality; conduct investigations and provide recommendations.

  • Provide professional guidance to employees in difficulty, develop competency plans, and evaluate goal achievement.

  • Collaborate on the professional development of nursing roles and governance practices.

  • Develop and maintain tools for nursing practice oversight, including rules of care.

  • Determine staffing and team composition based on service offerings, staff competencies, and required quality and safety standards.

  • Plan, organize, lead, and evaluate projects; assess impact on nursing roles, care delivery, and organizational performance.

  • Provide leadership and recommendations for compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and professional nursing standards.

  • Respond promptly to abuse, violence, neglect, or unacceptable behavior toward patients, in accordance with institutional policy.

  • Lead and participate in research projects and studies to improve nursing practice and patient care.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or relevant discipline.

  • Master’s degree in Nursing is an asset.

  • Active membership with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).

  • Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience, preferably with relevant patient populations.

  • Significant experience as a nursing advisor or within nursing management is an asset.
