Network Delivery Specialist

Cogeco Connexion Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Network Delivery Specialist to join their team in Peterborough, ON. This role plays a vital part in implementing strategic network infrastructure projects, including the design, planning, feasibility analysis, and delivery of outside plant (OSP) infrastructure. The selected candidate will contribute to Cogeco’s mission of maintaining a cutting-edge, cost-effective telecommunications network across Ontario.

As a Network Delivery Specialist, you will coordinate technical OSP activities from initial concept through implementation and closure, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and quality. You’ll manage planning processes, determine project scopes and priorities, create documentation for approvals, and act as a liaison with contractors, municipalities, and internal departments. This position requires excellent organizational, technical, and communication skills to support high-quality network expansion and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all OSP-related technical activities for assigned strategic infrastructure projects

• Conduct technical feasibility studies and cost assessments

• Design and plan network infrastructure to meet current and future service needs

• Manage construction activities, timelines, budgets, and resources

• Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and construction standards

• Prepare project documentation including capital expenditure forms, cost analysis, and scheduling reports

• Collaborate with vendors, municipalities, and internal teams

• Support Cogeco’s commitment to customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving

• Maintain accurate documentation and as-built records for network systems

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and use of PPE

Qualifications:

• College diploma in a relevant field or equivalent education/experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in OSP systems deployment and communications planning

• 2 years’ experience in a CATV environment preferred

• Proficiency in reading network schematics and using software tools like MS Office, Google Suite, Visio, and Project

• Solid understanding of engineering procedures, construction processes, and project management principles

• Health and Safety certification preferred

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities

• Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License required
