Network Analyst

Description:

Akkodis is seeking an Intermediate Network Analyst for a long-term on-site contracting opportunity in the Ottawa National Capital Region (NCR). This position requires an individual with a valid federal government security clearance at the level of Secret or higher and at least five years of hands-on networking experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical networking infrastructure, working within a secure government environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, solid technical expertise in network administration and security, and a background in managing both LAN and WAN environments. You will work on deploying and maintaining various network systems, supporting secure data operations, and ensuring the integrity of all network connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Windows-based systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server) including user permissions, GPOs, and antivirus management

• Configure and manage networking devices such as routers and switches

• Deploy and support LAN/WAN technologies

• Set up and manage DNS records and integrate with Active Directory

• Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls

• Ensure adherence to federal government security requirements and procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Secret-level or higher Government of Canada Security Clearance

• Degree or diploma in Networking or a related IT field

• Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on networking experience

• Relevant industry certifications in networking

• Proficient in both Windows administration and advanced networking principles (OSI model, DNS, routing/switching)

• Experience with security-focused network infrastructure
