Net Engineer

 

Description:

Aarorn Technologies Inc is seeking an experienced .Net Engineer for a contract opportunity based in Toronto, ON, with a hybrid work model (4 days onsite per week). This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in .Net technologies and strong experience in full software development lifecycle practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robust .Net-based applications while collaborating closely with team members and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable enterprise-level applications using .Net, ASP.Net Core, ASP.Net MVC, C#, SQL Server DB, API, and OCP.

  • Ensure best practices in software engineering including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, and testing.

  • Work with Git for code merging and branching, managing release processes effectively.

  • Collaborate with other developers and participate in pair programming for knowledge sharing and effective delivery.

  • Apply theoretical and practical knowledge of web-based architectures and frameworks (Angular or React) and their integration with backend services.

  • Handle DB2 connections via JDBC templates, ensuring efficient interaction with multiple databases.

  • Contribute to Agile development, specifically Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Shift Left methodology, actively participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies.

  • Support business teams by preparing UAT test cases and ensuring alignment with requirements.

  • Utilize Jenkins and other DevOps tools to support CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Kafka for messaging and event streaming.

  • Knowledge of asynchronous calls, JMS transactions, and IMS (J2C) transactions.

  • Familiarity with caching solutions such as Redis or application-level caches.

  • Experience in handling timeouts and optimizing system performance.
