Description:

The Music Teacher – TTOC (On-Call) role at the Vancouver School Board (VSB) involves providing high-quality music education on an as-needed basis throughout the district. On-call teachers are expected to be available for call-outs on at least 50% of instructional days in any month. Candidates must be fully qualified in Music education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering music instruction to students at the Elementary or Secondary level according to curriculum standards.

  • Acting as a supportive, professional presence in the classroom, ensuring smooth instructional delivery during teacher absences.

  • Maintaining high standards for student engagement, learning outcomes, and classroom management.

  • Collaborating with school administration and staff to align with school policies and educational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

  • Undergraduate degree in Music and/or successful teaching experience in Music at Elementary/Secondary levels.

  • Membership in or eligibility to join the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB).

  • Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS).
