Description:
The Music Teacher – TTOC (On-Call) role at the Vancouver School Board (VSB) involves providing high-quality music education on an as-needed basis throughout the district. On-call teachers are expected to be available for call-outs on at least 50% of instructional days in any month. Candidates must be fully qualified in Music education.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering music instruction to students at the Elementary or Secondary level according to curriculum standards.
Acting as a supportive, professional presence in the classroom, ensuring smooth instructional delivery during teacher absences.
Maintaining high standards for student engagement, learning outcomes, and classroom management.
Collaborating with school administration and staff to align with school policies and educational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Undergraduate degree in Music and/or successful teaching experience in Music at Elementary/Secondary levels.
Membership in or eligibility to join the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB).
Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS).
