Cartel Inc. is recruiting a Municipal Liability Lawyer with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join a well-established and respected law firm in Toronto. The role involves representing municipalities and related entities in complex liability litigation, managing files from start to finish, and collaborating with a supportive legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent municipalities and related entities in complex liability matters.

• Handle litigation involving property damage, slip-and-fall claims, road maintenance disputes, and other municipal issues.

• Manage files independently from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discoveries, attending motions, mediations, and trials.

• Work collaboratively with a team committed to high-quality legal service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of litigation experience, ideally with municipal liability, insurance defense, or general civil litigation exposure.

• Strong advocacy and file management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail.
