Please note that while this is a remote position, candidates based specifically in the Waterloo region are required to attend the office once per week to complete in‑person document signing.
Position Responsibilities
- Set up and administer new mortgage business and process the related financial transactions.
- Address routine queries from internal and external customers.
- Maintain control of all security/property documents.
- Ensure accuracy in preparing and processing all mortgage-related transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Assist with post funding execution of legal amendments required for the land title office
Required Qualifications
- General knowledge of residential mortgage business and mortgage underwriting practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, such as Word and Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Previous banking experience is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in real estate law and mortgage-related provincial legislation.
- Oral and written French language skills are an asset.
- Ability to work overtime during peak times.
