Mobile Application Developer

Description:

Soudelka Technologies, a student-founded startup focused on enhancing post-secondary student life, is looking for motivated Mobile Application Developers to help bring its flagship app, StuSync, to life. StuSync is an all-in-one mobile platform designed for students, offering features such as student housing, event discovery, academic tools, and social networking. The MVP is set to launch at Wilfrid Laurier University in Fall 2025, with plans to expand across North America.

As part of a young, passionate team backed by startup incubators, developers will play a key role in building core app functionality in either React Native or Flutter, working in a flexible, remote, and collaborative environment that encourages innovation and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test app features using React Native or Flutter.

• Collaborate on UI/UX design and backend integration, particularly with Firebase tools like Firestore, Auth, and Storage.

• Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, weekly team meetings, and design reviews.

• Contribute creative ideas to enhance performance and user experience.

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native or Flutter.

• Familiarity with Firebase is a strong asset.

• Experience with Git and standard version control practices.

• Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

• Effective communicator, team-oriented, and open to learning.

• Bonus: Previous experience developing mobile apps or working on student-facing technology.
