Mental Health Therapist

 

Description:

Dialogue, Canada’s leading provider of virtual health services, is seeking compassionate and bilingual Mental Health Therapists to join its dynamic, multidisciplinary team. As a therapist, you will play a critical role in empowering clients to talk openly about their mental health, providing a safe and judgment-free environment for healing and growth.

This position offers a flexible remote work setup and allows you to make a meaningful impact while being part of a collaborative clinical network that includes physicians, nurses, psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct secure video consultations with clients experiencing mental health–related symptoms.

  • Perform psychosocial assessments and develop solution-focused care plans.

  • Follow up with clients to ensure continuous progress in their care journey.

  • Collaborate with Case Managers who assist with administrative tasks such as appointment booking and resource coordination.

  • Actively participate in clinical meetings with other healthcare professionals.

  • Contribute to the improvement of Dialogue’s mental health programs, clinical protocols, and standards of practice.

  • Ensure patient safety and uphold the highest professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health or Human Relations (Social Work, Psychoeducation, Sexology, Occupational Therapy, Career Counselling, etc.).

  • Active membership in a recognized professional order/college.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in counselling or therapy.

  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and psychosocial assessments.

  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (essential requirement).

  • Availability to work 21–32 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.

  • Experience with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is an asset.

  • Strong communication, empathy, and adaptability in a virtual care setting.
