Member Of Technical Staff

Description:

The Member of Technical Staff (Cloud Platform) will join the CockroachDB Cloud Platform team to manage and scale cloud services across multiple providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Responsibilities include maintaining internal and customer-facing systems, developing automation and infrastructure tools, ensuring reliability and scalability, operating Kubernetes clusters, and participating in an on-call rotation. The role also involves collaborating with multiple teams, troubleshooting production systems, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidates must have expertise with at least one cloud provider, experience analyzing and troubleshooting distributed systems, software development skills in Go, C, C++, Python, or Java, and familiarity with infrastructure tooling such as Terraform or Pulumi. On-call experience, knowledge of web/network protocols, and the ability to manage projects independently are essential.
