Trillium Health Partners (THP) — one of Canada’s largest community-based acute care facilities — is seeking a Medical Physicist to join its Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre at Credit Valley Hospital. This is a full-time permanent position offering the opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment. THP comprises Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, and Queensway Health Centre, serving diverse communities across Mississauga and West Toronto.
The Medical Physicist will work closely with a team of experts to support the clinical, educational, and research mandates of the Radiation Treatment Program (RTP). The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high-quality, efficient, and innovative radiation oncology services that prioritize patient safety and clinical excellence.
Provide comprehensive clinical and technical support within the Medical Physics program.
Conduct acceptance testing, commissioning, and quality assurance of radiotherapy equipment and treatment planning systems.
Perform treatment plan checks and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
Support treatment delivery and provide technical expertise in stereotactic radiosurgery and brachytherapy procedures.
Contribute to teaching, research, and development initiatives in medical physics.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement and optimize advanced technologies such as Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, Varian ARIA systems, and Eclipse treatment planning software.
Participate in ongoing clinical innovations including the integration of new systems like Varian Halcyon and Ethos 2.0.
Ensure data accuracy, adherence to protocols, and compliance with safety and quality assurance regulations.
MSc or PhD in Medical Physics.
Successful completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency in Radiation Oncology Physics.
Membership in the CCPM or equivalent is preferred and required within two years.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented clinical environment.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
The Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre is a fully digital and integrated oncology facility treating over 4,000 patients annually. It is equipped with:
Six Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators.
Two CT simulators (Canon Aquilion Exceed Large Bore and Philips Big Bore Brilliance).
Varian ARIA Oncology Information System and Eclipse treatment planning on a Citrix platform.
Stereotactic Radiosurgery (HyperArc) and Brachytherapy Suite (Elekta Nucletron Flexitron).
Plans for expansion including Varian Halcyons with HyperSight, Varian Ethos 2.0, and Xstrahl 200 Orthovoltage X-ray therapy.
The department currently includes 12 physicists, 4 full-time and 2 part-time physics associates, 3 electronics technologists, and administrative support. It also supports a CAMPEP-accredited residency program through the University of Toronto.
