The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for conducting a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise in laboratory testing, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests & procedures in accordance with established protocols.

  • Ensure accuracy & quality of laboratory results by following best practices.

  • Act as a technical resource to lab staff and assist in training & orientation.

  • Maintain lab equipment & regulatory compliance (accreditation & safety standards).

  • Manage inventory of reagents, quality control materials, and lab supplies.

  • Develop & review policies, processes, and procedures for laboratory operations.

  • Coordinate workflow & prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program (or equivalent).
Registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
Strong knowledge of laboratory information systems & hospital software.
Experience in developing laboratory processes, training staff, and maintaining quality standards.
Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Willingness to work & travel between Osler sites as needed.

Work Schedule & Benefits:

🕒 Rotating Shifts: Days/Evenings/Nights (including weekends & holidays).
💰 Salary: $42.26 - $53.30 per hour.
🏥 Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP): Employer contributes $1.26 for every $1 you invest.
📍 Opportunity to work across multiple Osler sites.
📢 This non-union position will transition to OPSEU bargaining unit in late 2025.
