Interior Health, in collaboration with Health Match BC, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated physician leader to serve as Medical Director for the new Williams Lake Urgent & Primary Care Centre, scheduled to open in February 2025. This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a physician who is passionate about advancing primary and urgent care services within a collaborative healthcare environment.

The Medical Director will play a key role in establishing and overseeing the professional standards, protocols, and policies of the new centre. Reporting directly to the Executive Medical Director of Primary and Community Care, the successful candidate will work closely with physicians, allied health professionals, and administrative teams to promote Interior Health’s “One IH” culture, ensuring that high-quality, patient-centred care is consistently delivered.

This dual role includes both administrative and clinical responsibilities. The Medical Director will actively provide clinical services under the Williams Lake Urgent & Primary Care Centre Group Clinical Service Contract for an average of at least 4 hours per week, in addition to 3.75 hours per week dedicated to medical leadership duties. This ensures the role maintains a strong connection to patient care while guiding the clinical direction of the centre.
