Materials Planner

Description:

Quantum Management Services Ltd., a leading recruitment firm, is hiring on behalf of a multinational consumer goods company for the position of Production & Materials Planner. This is a dynamic and strategic role that plays a key part in supporting an expanding portfolio of regulated health products. The role is based in Ville Mont-Royal (TMR), Montreal and offers a hybrid work setup with 2 days of remote work per week.

As a Production & Materials Planner, you will work closely with both Canadian and U.S.-based teams, overseeing the production and supply chain activities. You will coordinate materials, packaging, and production scheduling using SAP and will be responsible for balancing capacity and cost while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to new product launches and continuous process improvements within a collaborative and performance-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed production schedules using SAP.

• Coordinate planning for raw materials and packaging components.

• Create purchase requisitions and ensure timely availability of all components.

• Optimize plant capacity usage while reducing operational costs.

• Track and manage production orders in SAP to ensure timely execution.

• Work closely with cross-functional internal teams and external partners to meet deadlines, manage priorities, and support product launches.

• Enforce procurement agreements in collaboration with the U.S. purchasing team.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international qualification.

• Experience: At least 5 years in production/materials planning within pharmaceutical, food, or CPG environments.

• Technical Skills: Strong experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.

• Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with regulated environments; knowledge of Health Canada and FDA guidelines is a strong asset.

  • Some experience with procurement or purchasing tasks.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

  • Strong communication and collaborative abilities.

• Languages:

  • Fluent in French.

  • Advanced proficiency in English is mandatory, as the role requires regular communication with Canadian and U.S. teams.
