Master Data Specialist

Description:

Minto Group, a renowned real estate and property management organization with over 70 years of legacy, is seeking a Master Data Specialist (Part-Time) to join its Ottawa office. The role focuses on managing and maintaining high-quality vendor master data within the company’s enterprise systems (NewStar and Yardi) while ensuring data governance and compliance with corporate standards.

This position plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of master data that drives Minto’s business operations. Working closely with the Manager, Master Data, the specialist will also assist in managing user accounts in SAP Concur and contribute to the development of data validation techniques and governance documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update all vendor master data in NewStar and Yardi systems.

• Perform regular integrity checks to ensure high-quality and accurate corporate master data.

• Review and process change requests with complete supporting documentation per corporate policies.

• Manage corporate master data requests promptly and precisely.

• Serve as the primary contact for all business queries related to corporate master data.

• Develop and update process documentation and training materials as needed.

• Support the creation, maintenance, and deactivation of user accounts in SAP Concur.

• Contribute to defining and implementing master data governance and management processes.

• Assist in developing data validation techniques to ensure the highest data integrity and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree (preferably in Accounting or a related field).

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Yardi Voyager and/or Constellation NewStar in the field of Master Data Management.

• Knowledge of SAP Concur is an asset.

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
