Description:
The role of Marketing Specialist is integral in supporting the planning, execution, and management of a wide range of marketing initiatives including trade shows, our Annual General Sale Meeting, marketing collateral, brand development, and communications internally and externally. The Marketing Specialist will work cross-functionally to support strategic goals, maintain brand integrity, and help the review and onboarding process to incubate emerging brands & build in the independent channel.
Position Accountabilities
Essential Functions
Event Management & Trade Shows
- Plan, organize, and execute all trade shows and events, including Tree of Life’s Annual General Sales Meeting
- Manage event budgets, billbacks, timelines, vendor coordination, and on-site logistics
- Oversee design and production of event marketing materials and Tree of Life brand assets
Marketing Collateral & Brand Assets Including Website
- Lead the creation and upkeep of marketing collateral including brochures, corporate overviews, and internal branding guidelines
- Design and manage production of promotional merchandise and give-away materials
- Develop and distribute internal and external newsletters on a regular cadence
- Coordinate and maintain organization of all brand and sales samples
- Website Design Updates

Marketing Support & Communications Including Social Media
- Support the Director of Marketing on daily initiatives and long-term strategic projects
- Contribute to the creation of product catalogues and other marketing assets
- Ensure consistent application of Tree of Life brand identity across all platforms and materials
- Manage public relations including press releases and advertising placements
- Social Media support including creation of posts for all platforms
Business Development & Brand Incubation
- Assist in incubating new and emerging brands for introduction to the independent retail channel
- Engage with new suppliers and support onboarding processes
- Collaborate on P&L development, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategies for early-stage brands
- Provide project management and marketing support for incubated brands throughout their initial year
Experience And Qualifications Required
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing or events coordination role
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite & photo editing basics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with budget management and supplier/vendor coordination
- Knowledge of retail, foodservice, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) is an asset
- High degree of self-motivation & dependability with superior attention to detail.
