Description:

Directive, a leading performance marketing agency focused on SaaS and B2B tech companies, is actively seeking future talent for the Marketing Operations Strategist position. This is a fully remote role within Canada designed for strategic and technical marketing professionals who excel at optimizing marketing operations to generate revenue growth.

As a Revenue Operations Manager (internal title), you will serve as both a tactical resource and a strategic advisor, supporting clients across the B2B tech ecosystem. You’ll work directly with marketing stakeholders to optimize platforms like Hubspot, Pardot, and Marketo—driving impactful lead lifecycle management, campaign automation, ABM, and reporting strategies.

This role provides autonomy, growth potential, and exposure to cutting-edge tools and global SaaS clients. You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing Operations and play a pivotal role in scaling client success and retention.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and implementer for B2B marketing operations processes

  • Manage multiple client instances of Hubspot, Pardot, or Marketo

  • Identify and propose upsell or cross-sell opportunities within client engagements

  • Build and execute effective lead lifecycle strategies, including scoring, routing, and nurturing

  • Provide consultative guidance on ABM, sales qualification, integrations, and analytics

  • Maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders through email, Slack, and Zoom

  • Own deliverables, timelines, and milestones within assigned accounts

  • Stay current with industry trends and Martech/Salestech tools

  • Contribute to the growth of the Marketing Operations department and mentor new hires


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on experience with Hubspot, Pardot, and/or Marketo

    • Note: If agency-side, 1–2+ years is acceptable

  • Prior agency experience is mandatory

  • Proven success working directly with clients, especially at Director+ levels

  • Deep understanding of lead lifecycle, campaign automation, data quality, and reporting

  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, marketing automation platforms, and ABM solutions

  • Analytical mindset with storytelling ability to present performance insights

  • Desire to grow professionally and contribute to team learning

  • Ability to independently manage a portfolio of client relationships and campaign goals

  • Positive impact on client retention and satisfaction (measured by NPS feedback)

  • Ability to grow accounts to a level that requires additional support staff

  • Willingness and ability to mentor new team members
