Description:
Our client, a leading Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company located on the Oakville/Mississauga border, is seeking a Channel Marketing Manager to implement and execute channel-specific marketing strategies aimed at achieving P&L objectives across Strategic Business Units (SBU’s). This role requires strong collaboration across multiple teams including SBU Product Marketing, Digital/eBusiness, Sales, Marketing Services, and Global Brand Management (GBM).
Channel Management
Partner with SBU Product Marketing teams to identify and implement growth initiatives within existing and new product portfolios.
Understand SBU P&L objectives to make sound go-to-market recommendations driving both top and bottom line results.
Collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, Marketing Services, and GBM on growth initiatives, program development, research, competitive insights, and presentation/training delivery.
Build and maintain channel expertise through field travel, industry event attendance, competitive analysis, and close collaboration with Sales and SBU partners.
Develop customer channel plans tied to joint business planning objectives.
Monitor sales, margin, and volume across key products and customers; create action plans to address challenges.
Work with Business Intelligence to measure program/promotional effectiveness and implement improvements.
Support Sales and SBUs in monthly/quarterly business reviews.
Partner with Marketing Services to ensure development of 2D, 3D, and digital collateral for product launches, promotions, and campaigns.
Merchandising
Collaborate with GBM to design, create, and develop merchandising programs, displays, and promotional materials.
Execute launch, distribution, and roll-out of all merchandising activities efficiently.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills; Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
Ability to influence, collaborate, and build trust across teams.
Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
Effective communication skills at all business levels, including presentations to customers.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of Sales and/or Marketing experience, preferably in Consumer/Durable Goods.
