Marketing Account Manager

 

Description:

As an Account Manager, you’ll work closely with the Account Director, serving as a key client contact to ensure seamless collaboration and execution of strategic initiatives. You will oversee the preparation and development of key client deliverables while ensuring projects stay on track, on budget, and meet expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring a smooth and responsive client experience.
  • Fulfill daily client requests, ensuring all projects are executed according to plan.
  • Keep clients and account teams updated on project progress and key milestones.
  • Act as an internal liaison, facilitating communication between clients and project teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, workback plans, and critical paths.
  • Oversee the accuracy and quality of all project deliverables.
  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring accurate billing and signed-off estimates before work begins.
  • Brainstorm ideas and collaborate with all departments within Habit to ensure cohesive and innovative solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both traditional and digital media buying. You should be comfortable developing and managing media plans, negotiating with vendors, and analyzing campaign performance to ensure client goals are met. Experience with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, programmatic display, and traditional media channels (radio, print, out-of-home) is a plus.

On-Site Client Engagement & Travel

  • Attend and oversee video shoots, photo shoots, client presentations, and key events.
  • Represent Habit Communications in client-facing interactions and presentations.
  • Must be based in Alberta and able to travel within the province as required.

Education Requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in an account management role, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Communication: Strong presentation skills with the ability to lead meetings and articulate strategies to both clients and internal teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Location & Travel: Must be based in Alberta with the ability to travel within the province as needed.
