Valoris, a major Quebec leader in the sorting and recovery of residual materials, is seeking an experienced Mécanicien de véhicules lourds to join its team in Bury. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy vehicles while contributing to a collaborative, safety-focused, and dynamic workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy vehicles

• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, electrical & hydraulic circuits

• Replace or repair defective parts (steering components, suspension airbags, pumps, radiators, clutches, brakes, belts, etc.)

• Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, inspections

• Install/remove heavy vehicle tires

• Read and interpret hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical schematics and technical manuals

• Safely operate lifting equipment and specialized tools

• Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks, manage parts orders, and maintain repair records

• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations

• Collaborate with the team to resolve technical issues and propose improvements

• Participate in team activities, meetings, and training as required

Qualifications:

• DEP in heavy machinery mechanics or equivalent training/experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license

• French proficiency (spoken/written): minimum level 3/5

• Class C companion card (asset)

Additional Requirements / Benefits:

• Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
