Description:

Cogeco Connexion is seeking a Conseiller en développement du marché (Market Development Advisor) to strengthen its presence and market penetration in Québec. The role involves driving direct sales and lead generation for Cogeco’s services, negotiating and managing agreements, and ensuring Cogeco is the first choice for new residential developments and expansions. This includes bulk residential offers, access agreements, and builder partnership deals.

The advisor will leverage diverse sales strategies—door-to-door, outbound telesales, networking at corporate and community events—to achieve and exceed targets. The position requires establishing partnerships with property owners, developers, builders, and property managers to maximize market share, ensuring timely pre-sales and expansion activities, and representing Cogeco at industry and regional events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass overall and incremental sales targets across small business and residential products in new builds and expansions.

  • Prospect new business opportunities through telemarketing and door-to-door outreach, offering tailored solutions to secure sales.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, builders, and key business stakeholders to identify and respond to their needs.

  • Collaborate with the network expansion team to ensure timely construction completions and customer pre-sales.

  • Maintain accurate builder site information and lead pre-sale activities at construction sites.

  • Represent Cogeco at trade shows, associations, and community events, often outside normal business hours.

  • Prepare, negotiate, and execute new contracts and renewals, working with Finance and management to ensure mutual benefit.

  • Provide market intelligence to counter competitors’ strategies.

  • Perform sales funnel management, documentation, reporting, and CRM updates with precision.

  • Retain customers at risk of leaving by offering creative and mutually beneficial solutions.

  • Contribute actively to organizational growth by identifying new revenue and efficiency opportunities.

Education & Skills Requirements:

  • College diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales success in the ICT industry.

  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and leadership abilities with proven closing skills.

  • Knowledge of telecommunications and G-Suite proficiency.

  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

  • Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel frequently and work in varied weather conditions.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service orientation.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with ability to work independently and under pressure.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • Frequent travel required.

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
