Description:
Cogeco Connexion Inc., a leader in telecommunications, is seeking a Market Development Advisor for its Thetford Mines, QC region. This position plays a pivotal role in expanding Cogeco’s presence and partnerships through proactive sales, prospecting, and relationship management, especially within new residential construction zones and property development sectors.
The Market Development Advisor will be instrumental in generating direct sales and leads for Cogeco’s services. Working in alignment with Cogeco’s policies, procedures, and tools, the candidate will be responsible for bulk residential offers, new home builder agreements, and market expansion strategies, ensuring Cogeco is the provider of choice in emerging residential zones.
Achieve and exceed global and incremental sales targets in construction and network expansion projects for SMEs and residential clients.
Generate new business through outbound calls and door-to-door sales efforts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate developers, builders, and key business contacts to understand needs and offer timely, professional solutions.
Coordinate with the network expansion department to ensure timely project completion and assist with presales activities.
Maintain up-to-date records of builder site activity and status.
Conduct field sales activities at construction sites where needed.
Initiate and manage client contacts, assess needs, propose tailored solutions, and close deals.
Maintain accurate sales funnel and documentation of all activities.
Perform administrative responsibilities including CRM updates, reporting on prospects, agreements, and planning.
Gather market intelligence and develop innovative strategies to attract and retain customers.
Represent Cogeco at local business events and within professional associations, even outside regular working hours.
Assist with interdepartmental queries and participate in special projects as required.
Ensure personal and team compliance with Cogeco’s health and safety guidelines.
Engage with clients professionally and promptly to resolve concerns and enhance satisfaction.
Prepare and negotiate contracts, ensuring they are financially and strategically beneficial to Cogeco.
Explore revenue expansion opportunities within existing and potential accounts.
Provide outstanding customer service and retention strategies to maintain loyalty.
Continually seek ways to improve sales efficiency and market penetration.
🎓 Education:
College diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Equivalent experience will also be considered
Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
💼 Experience:
Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience, ideally in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
Door-to-door, telesales, or technical sales support experience preferred
