Description:
In this role, you will support Manufacturing Operations by assisting with production and environmental testing activities used to verify electronic and electromechanical products and assemblies. This position is focused on hands-on execution of defined test and assembly procedures in a manufacturing environment. You will work under the guidance of experienced operators, technicians, and technologists while gaining practical exposure to production testing, environmental screening, and quality processes.
This role provides applied experience in test operations, equipment handling, and adherence to documented procedures within a structured manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support vibration and environmental stress screening (ESS) setup and execution using documented procedures and environmental test equipment.
- Assist with setup and movement of test hardware, fixtures, and headers under supervision.
- Perform Go/No-Go testing on units and assemblies using automated equipment and clearly defined procedures.
- Operate automated programming equipment to program assemblies as directed.
- Assemble, operate, and perform basic repair of electronic and electromechanical assemblies following detailed work instructions and drawings.
- Follow assembly documentation and procedures to support rework and repair activities under guidance.
- Complete required quality checks, including buddy checks, in accordance with manufacturing quality processes.
- Record test results, quality data, and observations in company tracking systems.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing and test teams to support daily production priorities.
- Adhere to workmanship standards, safety requirements, and documented procedures at all times.
Qualifications
Required
- Must be enrolled in a formalized co-operative education program.
- Currently enrolled in a college program in Electronics Engineering Technology (or Technician), Electrical Engineering Technology (or Technician), Mechatronics, or a related applied technical discipline.
- Interest in hands-on manufacturing, testing, and equipment operation.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
- Basic computer skills to locate documentation and record results.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability in task execution.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Motivated, dependable, and willing to learn in a structured manufacturing environment.
