Manufacturing Senior Finance Analyst

Description:

Maple Leaf Foods Inc., a leading sustainable protein company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Senior Finance Analyst to join its Finance team. This role involves analyzing and reporting production results, investigating variances, identifying trends, and supporting various financial processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with different levels of the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide valuable insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver daily and weekly production reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Investigate production variances, analyze trends, and present findings to management.

• Support Bill of Material creation activities under the Plant 4-wall SAP project.

• Assist in cost estimation processes and provide analytical support for decision-making.

• Contribute to Six Sigma projects by calculating and validating cost savings.

• Actively participate in annual budgeting, month-end closing, and weekly forecasting.

• Respond to ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests from plant finance teams.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in finance or a related business program.

• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing costing experience in an ERP environment.

• Actively pursuing or holding a professional accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA).

• Strong analytical and advanced problem-solving skills with ability to provide actionable recommendations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

• Familiarity with SAP is an asset.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools.

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities.

• Comfortable working within a manufacturing setting.
