Description:
Airbus Canada is seeking an ANDON Leader to join the A220 Commercial Aircraft Program in Mirabel, Quebec. The role involves coordinating key problem-resolution actions on the assembly line and leading cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Logistics, Engineering) to ensure efficiency and quality performance.
As part of the Methods Support Team, the ANDON Leader acts as a technical and organizational leader, ensuring the rapid resolution of production issues, driving continuous improvement, and supporting managers in achieving operational excellence.
Assemble the appropriate team of specialists for each production issue.
Organize and facilitate meetings to plan and monitor short-term action plans.
Identify and remove obstacles to ensure problem resolution and operational flow.
Supervise and coordinate a team to ensure objectives are met efficiently and with high quality.
Apply problem-solving methodologies (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO).
Support other A220 assembly line sites when required.
Coach and mentor team members, developing their technical and leadership capabilities.
Act as a unifying and communicative leader capable of managing shifting priorities under pressure.
Communicate clearly and demonstrate strong influencing and leadership skills.
Organize, prioritize, and execute tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
Apply structured problem-solving to complex issues in a manufacturing environment.
Maintain flexibility, attention to detail, and initiative.
Support cross-site operations and act as mentor to peers and subordinates.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in aerospace or manufacturing environments.
Proven experience as a production coordinator or activity leader.
Expertise in problem-solving methodologies (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, Continuous Improvement).
Bilingual: Fluent in French, advanced in English.
Certification: PMP or equivalent project management experience (asset).
