Managing Director

Senior Managing Director of Value Creation who is based in London and who leads the team globally.

What you will do

You will have several responsibilities and objectives, including:

• Partnering and building strong relationships with the NA direct investing teams so that you are seen as a true partner to their teams;

• Supporting the regional deal teams on due diligence for new potential investments;

• Leading the onboarding and development of the Value Creation Plan (VCP) for new and existing investments. VCP development includes identifying the key initiatives that will drive value during our investment horizon, as well as developing detailed KPIs and mobilization plans to ensure successful execution;

• Leading specific projects with portfolio company executives in North America to drive incremental value, and coaching executives as required;

• Scoping and overseeing work done by 3rd party advisors in portfolio companies within our North American portfolio;

• Assessing talent within portfolio companies and ensuing the right organizational structure and talent in key value creating and value enabling roles to execute VCPs; and

• Being an active leader and role model within the global VC team and broader Equities team, supporting off-sites, conferences, and junior training and development.

Key Deliverables in the first 12 – 24 months

Over the next two years in this role, the Managing Director, VC, Equities (North America) will have delivered on the following:

Become a valued thought partner to the direct investing deal teams, CEOs, their management teams and board members;

• Created repeatable demand for themselves and the Value Creation function from deal teams and portfolio company management teams;

• Successfully supported diligence on selected new investments in the region, and globally as required;

• Ensured new investments are successfully onboarded, required governance elements and VCPs are put in place;

• Created value directly attributable to their contribution on a number of companies and initiatives;

• Helped build out the Value Creation Team’s approach across the global portfolio in conjunction with the Global Head of Value Creation; and

• Played a leadership role in developing our junior talent.
